Arabic اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ فِي سَفَرِنَا هَٰذَا الْبِرَّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ، وَمِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَا تَرْضَىٰ، اللَّهُمَّ هَوِّنْ عَلَيْنَا سَفَرَنَا هَٰذَا وَاطْوِ عَنَّا بُعْدَهُ، اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الصَّاحِبُ فِي السَّفَرِ، وَالْخَلِيفَةُ فِي الْأَهْلِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ وَعْثَاءِ السَّفَرِ، وَكَآبَةِ الْمَنْظَرِ، وَسُوءِ الْمُنْقَلَبِ فِي الْمَالِ وَالْأَهْلِ
Hindi Translation अल्लाह सबसे बड़ा है, अल्लाह सबसे बड़ा है, अल्लाह सबसे बड़ा है। पवित्र है वह (अल्लाह) जिसने इस (सवारी) को हमारे लिए वश में किया, वरना हम इसे काबू नहीं कर सकते थे। और निश्चय ही हम अपने रब की ओर लौटने वाले हैं। हे अल्लाह! इस सफर में हम तुझसे भलाई, परहेज़गारी और ऐसे कामों की तौफ़ीक़ माँगते हैं जिनसे तू राज़ी होता है। हे अल्लाह! हमारे इस सफर को हमारे लिए आसान बना दे और दूरी को हमारे लिए कम कर दे। हे अल्लाह! तू ही सफर में साथी और घर वालों में देखभाल करने वाला है। हे अल्लाह! मैं तुझसे सफर की मुश्किलों, उदासी भरे दृश्य और माल व अहल (परिवार) के बुरे हालात से तेरी पनाह चाहता हूँ।
Roman Urdu Transliteration Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. Subhanallazi sakhkhara lana haza wama kunna lahu muqrineen. Wa inna ila Rabbina lamunqaliboon. Allahumma inna nas’aluka fi safarina haza al-birra wat-taqwa, wa minal ‘amali ma tarda. Allahumma hawwin ‘alayna safarana haza watwi ‘anna bu’dahu. Allahumma anta as-sahibu fis-safar, wal-khalifatu fil-ahl. Allahumma inni a’uzu bika min wa’tha’is-safar, wa kaabatil-manzar, wa suu’il-munqalabi fil-maali wal-ahl.
Meaning in English Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. Glory is to Him who has provided this (ride) for us, though we could never have accomplished it (by ourselves), and indeed, to our Lord we will surely return. O Allah, we ask You for righteousness, piety, and such deeds that please You during our journey. O Allah, make this journey easy for us and make its distance short for us. O Allah, You are the Companion in travel and the Guardian over the family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the difficulties of travel, from having a bad view, and from an ill return to wealth and family.

🕒 When and How to Recite Safar ki Dua

When to Recite:

Just before starting your journey (car, train, bus, flight, etc.).

After sitting on your mode of transport (seat, saddle, or steering).

It is also good to repeat “Allahu Akbar” three times before the main dua.

How to Recite:

Sit comfortably and intend your journey.

Say “Allahu Akbar” three times.
