Surah Fatah: Translation, Tafsir & Powerful Benefits for Spiritual Growth

📖 Introduction to Surah Fatah

Surah Fatah (الفتح) is the 48th chapter of the Qur’an, comprising 29 verses. It is a Medinan surah, revealed in the 6th year after Hijrah (around 628 CE), during or just after the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah between the Muslims of Madinah and the Quraysh of Makkah.

The Surah Fatah’s title, “The Victory,” refers to this treaty—a peaceful conquest—heralded as a manifest triumph (“fath mubīn”).

Surah Fatah holds a special place in Islamic tradition because of its immense spiritual significance, prophetic pride, and promise of future triumphs, including the ultimate conquest of Makkah and victories like at Khaybar.
